Here's Our Second Top Ten Readers' Choice Issue
We can't believe that 20 weeks have passed since we began publishing Salvia Guru, the curated content newsletter of Flowers by the Sea Online Plant Nursery. Thanks for your support and for sowing the word about our free subscriptions. It's helping us to take root and grow strong.
As a reward, we've included a bonus link in this issue from the beautifully photo-illustrated Prairie Break website of Denver Botanic Gardens Curator Panayoti Kelaidis. He takes readers on a journey of dramatic color and textures on in Greece's and other parts of the Eurasian steppe. Kelaidis photographed the stunning meadow pictured here on Kaz Dag, which is also called Mt. Ida.
Our top readers' choice this go-round concerns the excellent Los Angeles County guidebook titled "The Drought Tolerant Garden." We also see a pattern of interest in how-to topics, including an FBTS video on how to prune Salvias in late summer. Plant lists were also a major interest.
Small wildlife are never far from our customers' gardening thoughts, so we aren't surprised that the live cam video of a bitty nest full of hummingbird babies was a hit. Fall migration is underway, so you can expect lots more buzz about hummers and butterflies in coming issues.
But right now, it's time to put this issue (and the editor) to bed. See you in the Salvia garden.
